False Teaching, False Beliefs

It saddens me to know that so many people never really open their eyes to the bigger picture or open their hearts to the bigger joy. It saddens me that so many are ignorant of the TRUTH. It saddens me that there are so many people out there who totally close their eyes and their hearts to Gods word and His wonders, giving no praise at all to the Creator or his creations. It's a shame that those people will pay a price for their ignorance and for keeping blinders on because it's convenient and seeking out the Truth is not.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2 Peter 2:1 - But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1 Corinthians 14:33 - For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

Matthew 7:21 - Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. (KJV)

So, you may be asking... who are these people I am referring to? It's the good people showing up for services all clean and tidy on Sunday mornings, check in hand. The ones who show up at church benefits, and volunteer to help with programs and fund raisers, but raise a ruckus about it at home. The people who gossip, yell at coworkers, are having affairs, stealing office supplies or more from their workplace, mock poor people or those who have less than they do BUT they think they are okay in the GOD department because they are hardly ever late for church, they pay their tithes on time, keep their homes and families in a suitable manner - in other words they keep up appearances to get MANS approval, but they think that means GOD's approval too. That couldn't be farther from the truth!

Each person must read and study the WORD. Get in a study group, read it together, discuss it, learn it. Don't just blindly follow what a preacher says. He is just a man and as such, just as fallible and gullible as any other man. DON'T follow his words alone... you must check and see if his steps are in step with what the WORD says. If not, you can either try to correct him, or change churches.
